STAR WARS Imperial E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster

The STAR WARS Imperial E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster 1/6 scale movie weapon replica is pure joy to look at.

Manufactured by Sideshow Collectibles, the Imperial army’s E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster is a powerful blaster. It features a portable power generator with conduit hose that can be positioned up and down or from side to side to create a custom display.

Measures: 8.5″ H (215.9mm) x 10″ W (254mm) x 10″ L (254mm)

It’s the perfect complement to the STAR WARS Snowtrooper Sixth Scale Figure, the newest entry in the Militaries of Star Wars Sixth Scale collection.

Backstory:

With the introduction of the E-Web heavy repeating blaster, formally titled the Emplacement Weapon, Heavy Blaster, troopers were able to fire at an optimum range of two-hundred meters and a maximum range of five-hundred meters. Although it was the most powerful repeating blaster in the Imperial arsenal, it was restricted by certain limitations. E-Web blasters required a relatively lengthy set-up time, including assembly, calibrating the generator, and configuring of the targeting software. They also operated most efficiently with a two-man team, the first to man the gun itself, the second responsible for monitoring and adjusting the power generator, which, like all generators of its time was prone to overheating. Regardless, the E-Web, equipped with a built in comlink and computerized fire control, served as an highly effective and powerful tool for the Imperial army, making significant appearances in an attempt to murder Obi-Wan Kenobi, at the Battle of Praesitlyn, and perhaps most successfully during the Galactic Civil War at the Battle of Hoth.

As of yet Sideshow haven’t declared whether this will be a limited edition item or not (I’ve included it in the Limited Edition section of the site just in case). However, it may yet be, so don’t miss out just in case.

It’ll set you back only $149.99.

STAR WARS Stormtrooper E-11 Blaster Prop Replica (Master Replicas)

Master Replicas official reproduction of the STAR WARS Stormtrooper E-11 Blaster Rifle (seen throughout STAR WARS: Episode IV: A New Hope) was released as a Limited Edition item of only 3,500 pieces worldwide.

This movie prop replica has long since sold out – but you can still get it if you look around hard enough and, from time to time, via private sale. As I write this there is an opportunity to get one via auction on Ebay. Here’s an image of the private sale piece:

The bid is currently at $350. If you want a shot at winning this for yourself or just want to see more images, the auction is at the following link:

STAR WARS Stormtrooper E-11 Blaster Prop Replica (Ebay Auction)

Despite this awesome Star Wars Blaster replica often being referred to as a Stormtrooper’s rifle, it is actually a prop that was modeled after a 1950’s British submachine gun.

It is made of metal with ABS parts and detailing and weighs almost 30 pounds.

Comes with a custom display case, numbered plaque, plaque stand, and certificate of authenticity.

Approximate dimensions: 21″ L x 6″ W x 9″ H.

It’s a sweet piece to own, especially if you’re into STAR WARS collectibles!

Fan-Made AVATAR MBS-9M .50 Cal Hydra (Tri-Barreled Machine Gun)

I fell in love with the MBS-9M Tri-Barreled Hydra Machine Gun in James Cameron’s AVATAR from the moment I saw it – and I’ve been quite disappointed to see that an officially licensed replica has yet to surface.

Perhaps so is London based model maker Neil Ellis who has taken it upon himself to produce a replica of this awesome Weta designed weapon .

Neil’s fan-made replica isn’t finished yet, but he’s started a thread over at TheRPF.com for fans to follow his production progress.

The images below are just a sample of his latest happy snaps and I have to say how incredibly awesome it looks. Check it out:

You can see a ton more images and learn more from Neil posts about what’s going into the build at at TheRPF.com.

I can’t wait to see the finished product.

In the meantime, I should point out that Neil’s obvious talent isn’t limited to fan work. He’s worked on models for films such as HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER.
