Check out this brilliant looking life-size prop replica of the Biker Scout’s blaster as featured in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.
This is a 1:1 scale high quality filled resin replica of the original Biker Scout blaster made for the film by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM).
Many weapons in Star Wars were made from existing guns that ILM modified into sci-fi blasters. This one was an exception where ILM created the weapon as a custom single piece with a British made “Singlepoint Scope” mounted on the right side using half of a Webley scope ring.
The artisans at Modelers or Mice have gone out of their way to replicate the original weapon just as ILM envisioned it, although in this case the entire gun is sculpted (no external attachments). That makes this weapon replica a screen accurate weapon to ILM’s vision rathre than a replica of the original on set prop which, in my view, is perfect.
This is definitely the kind of replica Star Wars fans should jump on, not only because it’s very accurate to the screen used weapon but also because the Biker Scout’s blaster is not typically an easy replica weapon to find.
